Flange Details Information

Service requirements include chemicals, acids, voc and water. Oxygen service gaskets are now available in the material.

Service requirements, temperature and pressure and bolt torque are factors involved in selecting the type of gasket and the material.

Sizes range from 1/2" to 30' inside diameter.

Pressure classes are 150 psi and 300 psi, but higher pressures are also available.

Design types are ring face and full face. Raised face flanges use ring face gaskets. Flat face flanges use full face gaskets.

Most common materials are neoprene(black rubber), SBR(red rubber), compressed non-asbestos, teflon, fluorogreen, and flexible graphite. The normal thickness is 1/16" or 1/8".
