High temperature is a relative term as it pertains to gasketing. In the case of elastomeric / elastomer gaskets, silicone and fluorocarbon are among the best performers. At operating temperatures over 400?F (204?C), these materials maintain their mechanical properties. This means high temperature gaskets (and pads) will continue to perform as designed without reversion.
