The media used in the SALTREAT series is carefully selected of the finest
quality to achieve maximum filtration efficiency at reasonable pressure drops.
A notable example is the Filter-Ag? which has many outstanding advantages
over the common sands in the market. Filter-Ag? is a light weight, non-hydrous
silicon dioxide media that has high surface area, requires less backwash rate
and creates less pressure loss for better overall performance.

The operation of SALTREAT series equipment is fully automatic, using top or
side mounted GEs Autotrol? control valves or, in the case of
high flow rates, a nest of hydraulically operated GEs AquaMatic? diaphragm
valves with stager control .
