Sand Filter

IOTA Sand Filter can be categorised as Rapid  Gravity Filter (RGF)  with its high filtration rate and  compact system. IOTA Sand Filter operates as a deep-bed filter, which physically  removes  particles by  trapping  them  within  pores among media grains.While particles are accumulating in filter bed, higher effluent quality is obtained because  retained  particles also act as filter to the new coming particles. However, headloss through filter bed increases as  particles  are  accumulating and until one point the filter needs to be cleaned by mean of backwashing.
