The sequence in which the filters are placed is also of importance. SEC manufactures and supplies Hydrocarbon traps, Oxygen Traps and Moisture Traps. SEC also provides sintered filter (up to 0.1 micron) for removal of particulates.

The gases (even UHP) used for GCs and other analytical instruments have impurities. The UHP gases available in India are found to have impurities in excess of 20 ppm. These impurities normally consist of nitrogen, oxygen, organic compounds and water. Of these impurities, oxygen, organic compounds and water are known to cause analytical inaccuracies, premature GC column deterioration and detector malfunction. Provided below are the recommended filters for a particular detector type.
