The structure of shipbuilding gantry crane has single and double girder types. The single girder type is usually favored when large lifting capacity and span is required. Its main composing systems are gantry frame, up trolley, lower trolley, and bridge traveling mechanism, maintenance crane, lubrication, elevator and electrical equipment. Also, it can be equipped with some other devices such as rail clamp (or wheel brake), anchoring device, and limit switches in each mechanism and other safety device. Crane traveling deviation adapting system may be applied when a large span is wanted.
