Christmas Decoration Bead Balls

Santie McIntosh has been handfelting wool for many years. She was approached by Christmas Africa towards the end of 2001 to supply them with felted balls. Margie Robertson of Christmas Africa developed the beading of the felt balls. Santie has further extended the possibilities with more wool colours, bead combinations and ball sizes.

Twelve Zulu women, wives and daughters of the farm workers, felt and bead the balls.
