The haunched, half-dovetailed braces add an amazing amount of strength & rigidity to this piece, as well as the hard maple support mounted directly underneath the seat plank. A bench like this is a
wonderful way to squeeze more people at a table. The example is shown crafted of Sugar Pine in our "Honey" finish.
