Normally, the PLC optical splitter can split the input power evenly while keeping the states of polarization unchanged. Thus, it is mainly used in fiber sensoring system. It usually includes planar lightwave circuit chip, single channel polarization-maintaining fiber array as the input end and multi-channel polarization maintaining optical fiber array as output ports.
