1、 ADPS Introduction
ADPS, also known as N-ethyl-N - (3-sulfopropyl) - 3-methoxyaniline sodium salt dihydrate, is a common chromogenic substrate for horseradish peroxidase HRP or peroxidase POD. Its appearance is
pure white crystal powder, with purity of more than 99%, PH range of 5.5-9.5, absorption wavelength of 540nm, and obvious advantages of high water solubility and high color sensitivity.
2、 ADPS color rendering principle
The main reason is that under the catalysis of POD, hydrogen peroxide, ADPS and 4AA are coupled and oxidized to produce quinone imines, which will lead to an increase in absorbance at 500nm.
As for blood glucose detection, when blood glucose, oxygen and water are catalysed by POD, they will generate gluconic acid and hydrogen peroxide, and the generated hydrogen peroxide can be
measured by the coupled oxidation system of ADPS. At this time, the degree of absorbance increase is directly proportional to blood glucose. The amount of blood glucose can be measured by measuring
the increase of absorbance with spectrophotometer.
