Stainless steel pin roll belts are used in the food industry where a tight transfer or exact timing is needed. The pin roll eliminates belt slippage when the product or process creates slippery conditions. The teeth of the pin roll meshes into the openings of the belt to create a positive drive.

Side chain driven belts offer straight travel and positive speed control. Most stainless steel belt is woven of be side chain driven. Tighter weave wire mesh belts can be chain driven using bars or channel welded to the mesh with attachment chain bolted to the support.

Stainless steel flat wire mesh belting is available in mesh sizes 1/2" × 1/2", 1/2" × 1", and 1" × 1". It can also be manufactured in galvanized or high carbon. Stainless steel flat wire belting offers an open construction for quick drainage and air circulation. This design allows for easy cleaning and provides a smooth carrying surface.
