Bitumen emulsion sealant BITAREL R-FLEX (for roads repairs, cold applied)

Bitumen emulsion road sealant BITAREL R-FLEX is an aqueous emulsion of petroleum bitumen modified with synthetic latex and special additives.

Application

• for maintenance of asphalt pavements;

• for the device of longitudinal and transverse cracks 2-5 mm wide elastic sealing layer.

Preparation of basis

The treated surface must be cleaned of dirt, dust, sand, debris, grease and oil stains.

Application of mastic on the damp bases is allowed.

Sealant must be mixed before using a slow-speed agitator.

Product application

Bitumen emulsion road sealant BITAREL R-FLEXcan be applied both manually and mechanically.

Manual method:bitumen emulsion road sealant BITAREL R-FLEXis applied layer by layer with a brush or spatula with leveling special strokes. Each subsequent layer is applied after drying the previous one, but not more than 3 hours. The thickness of a layer no more than 1 mm. at once, without waiting for drying of sealant, on the processed surface it is recommended to sprinkle dry crushed stone of fraction of 1-3 mm or other crushed mineral material. In 3 hours traffic on the surface processed by mastic with crushed stone is admissible. Untreated crushed stone sealant leave to dry for at least 6 hours. In the future, drying and compaction occurs during the operation of the asphalt coating.

Mechanical method:bitumen emulsion road sealant BITAREL R-FLEXusing a movable hose (a combination of spray and nozzle), the material is applied under pressure and penetrates deeper into the crack and, at the same time, a uniform thin layer is applied to the surface. After application of mastic it is necessary to scatter crushed crushed stone of fraction of 1-3 mm or other crushed mineral material. It is recommended to use a special carriage for a uniform and even rubble spreading.
