The tester is applied to determine 50~1000ppm water content in liquid petroleum
products accordingly to the national standard method, GB11133-89, “Determination of water in liquid petroleum products”, which is adapted from Karl Fisher method.
Dissociative alkali、metal oxide、oxidant、reductant、inorganic salt of weak acid
containing oxygen, mercaptans 、certain nitrogen compounds and other chemical
compounds reacted with the iodine will affect the result of measurement. Titration error caused by 1ppm sulphur (e.g., mercaptans) is approximately equivalent to 0.2ppm water.
