DSHD-2801C Penetrometer

DSHD-2801C Penetrometer is designed and developed as per the National Standard GB/T 4509 “Test Methods for Needle Penetration of Petroleum Asphalt”, GB/T 269 “Test Methods for Cone Penetration of Lubricating Grease and Petroleum Grease”, and T0604 “Asphalt Penetration Test” in the Industry Standard JTJ052Specification and Test Methods of Bitumen and Bituminous Mixture for Highway Engineering.The instrument is applied to determine penetration of asphalt and lubricating grease.

1: Asphalt: the needle penetration of asphalt is expressed as the depth that a standard needle of 100±0.05 g vertically penetrates into a sample without any measurable friction in 5 seconds in the constant temperature bath of 25℃±0.1℃. The instrument is to evaluate consistency of asphalt. The larger the penetration is, the less the consistency is and the softer the asphalt is.
