Mechanisms

Fasoracetam Powder works by modifying receptors in the brain. It works on the cholinergic, GABA, and glutamate receptors, which all play a role in forming and storing new memories. Like most nootropic compounds and fellow racetams, Fasoracetam Powder affects the brain to bring about mild cognitive benefits.In in vitro studies on mouse neurons, fasoracetam modulated mGluR II/III activity.In studies in rats, it blocked memory disruptions caused by baclofen, a GABAB agonist and upregulated production of GABAB receptors after repeat dosing.

Benefits

Like many of the nootropics, this member of the racetam family has been studied in controlled settings and there does appear to be a distinct benefit to patients of diseases and conditions that affect the brain and memory. Fasoracetam has proven to show benefit for people suffering from conditions like schizophrenia (Froestl, Muhs and Pfeifer 793). However, there are other studies that show that the greatest benefit of Fasoracetam can be seen in patients with Alzheimer's Disease, helping to reduce the expected loss of mental acuity and memory. Presently, there are more studies being done to determine if Fasoracetam may be a beneficial treatment for some of the young patients who are affected by the varying degree from Attention Deficit Disorder or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, or as they are more commonly known, ADD and ADHD. According to researchers, while non-human tests, specifically those performed on laboratory rats, there have yet to be enough definitive human trials to ensure or guarantee is benefits overall. The rats showed a greater amount of stamina in dangerous situations, like drowning or evading electric shock.

Fasoracetam Dosages

Its antidepressant effects are most prominent at large doses and a standard dose has not yet been agreed upon. In human trials, 100mg a day has been given to subjects with no observed consequences, but some psychonauts use only 10mg a day sublingually.

This puts its potency level in line with nootropics like Noopept which are said to be 1000x stronger than Piracetam.
