Tongya Telecom, founded in 1969, a joint venture company between Taiwan and SAXA (former Tamura) in Japan, is dedicated in Telecommunication and Display industry to provide reliable public terminals, services and total solutions.In 1970, Tongya proudly announced the first coin-operated payphone in Taiwan. So far, over 300,000 sets of various models from Tongya have been globally installed and perfectly operating.In 1990, Tongya diversified into IC Card payphone and IC Card manufacturing.In 2000, orienting system integration, we started designing, manufacturing, and installing over 1,000 set of Kiosk and ATM in Taiwan.In 2002, both 15" and 17" TFT-LCD monitor were successfully launched with the focuses on touch-screen and customer-designed open frame.To expand Tongya product line in the Kiosk field, Tongya launched Metal Keyboard, Metal Mouse and Track Ball in the year 2003. At the same year, Tongya also developed customized color with fashion appearance TYW-251 Coin Payphone.In 2005, VoIP Payphone and WiFi Payment Terminal are coming out to meet worldwide customers' expectation.All our proudcts have been created throught state-of-the-art planning and designing stages. We manufactured the first payphone in Taiwan and have 2 / 3 of market share in Taiwan now. We have installed more than 30, 000 sets of PSTN payphone in all teleboutiques of Morocco, 1, 500 sets of GSM payphone in South Africa, 1, 000 sets of PSTN payphone in HK, and 2, 000 sets of PSTN payphone in Chile (please refer to the attached files showing our payphone is used by Telmex in Chile) .
