The Scientific Industrial firm ORT was formulated in 1990, with its head office and factory situated in St. Petersburg, Russia. Its superior quality of products as well as workmanship has positioned SIF ORT as the preferred and sole supplier of military tents to the Ministry of Defence and relief tents to the Ministry of Emergency in Russia. SIF ORT, over the past 17 years has consistently been represented at leading aid exhibitions, which has proven its commitment to assist the homeless, while developing long and lasting relationships with aid agencies, such as the United Nations and the Red Cross, to name but a few. With the most relief efforts centred in-and-around Africa, the need to expand its efforts culminated into a branch being opened in Centurion SA in 2003, strategically positioned to act as a gateway into Africa.
