Keyes fibre corporation is a leading provider of molded fibre packaging to the fruit, egg and wine industries. The company's headquarters and operations are located in wenatchee, Washington. History: Keyes fibre has operated its facility in wenatchee since 1950. It has been known by several names over the years, including friday pack, pacific pulp molding, great northwest fibre; and has been owned by major corporations such as arcata, keyes fibre company, van leer holding, huhtamaki and the chinet company. In july of 2001 the business was sold by huhtamaki to the local management team, in partnership with prospect partners of Chicago, illinois. The purchase included rights to the keyes fibre name, which originated with keyes fibre company which was founded in shawmut, maine in 1903. Agricultural tissue: A product with many uses Fruit & vegetable wrap: Keyes manufactures fruit & vegetable wraps for use on virtually any fruit or vegetable. Currently we manufacture wraps specifically for use on pears, apples, eggplant, squash, grapefruit, oranges, carambola and gift fruit. Bottle wraps: For protecting labels and bottles from damage during shipping, and to provide a unique, high-class, custom look to specialty wine. Gift packages: As a professional, personal touch to gift baskets and boxed wines. Tasting rooms and retail stores: For wrapping wine glasses, bottles, and other delicate items sold in tasting rooms. Chemical impregnation Keyes is the only company in the united states with environmental protection agency (epa) registrations for manufacturing chemically treated wraps. All of our wraps can be manufactured with a mineral oil and wax impregnation, which provides a very smooth surface, superior vapor barriers, and very high wet and dry strength characteristics. Keyes' tissue is exceptionally versatile. Since it works for so many products, our wraps have found acceptance all over the world. Wherever fruits and vegetables are packed, and space, weight, and cube are vital, you will find wrap pack makes the important difference. Wraps are available in white or colors, in sizes ranging from 9"x 9" to 20"x 30". All wraps are available in unprinted, one or two color custom printed, or in a variety of stock designs.
