Hiusaetc. Com) . MISSION STATEMENT The Mission of Houston Industries, USA L. L. C. a United States Commerce and Justice Department accredited Export Trade Company is to export goods or services produced in the United States and facilitate the exportation of goods or services produced in the United States by unaffiliated persons by providing one or more export trade services. CONCEPT The concept of Houston Industries, USA, L. L. C. (HIUSA) a United States Commerce and Justice Department accredited Export Trade Company (ETC) is to provide American businesses that do not currently export an opportunity to establish an export operation. In addition, HIUSA offers American companies that already export a means to expand into new markets. Hiusa accomplishes this by offering a variety of export trade services. ETCs are not new to international trade. The record of accomplishment forged by Japan, Korea, and Western Europe in penetrating the United States and other markets aptly demonstrates the potential effectiveness of this type of trading mechanism. Close to two-thirds of Japan's exports are handled by ETCs. DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS As an ETC HIUSA is capable of monitoring markets more efficiently and is better equipped to recognize potential opportunities. By virtue of their combined size, some ETCs can offer a wider range of goods and services, secure prices that are more favorable or develop additional marketing opportunities denied manufacturers acting alone.
