Hi Temp was formed in 1989 to manufature and sell fire blanket materials to the oilsands mining industry in fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. There was a need for a quality material to replace the Asbestos materials which were no longer deemed as being safe to use. The quality and particular features of the Hi Temp blanket, in terms ofsafety and reliability, has enabled Hi Temp to remain the principal supplier of welding blankets in this original market.
