TUFMON MIDI System Intelligent alarm and control system for diesel engine of less than 2200 kW

The MIDI system was developed for the monitoring and control of diesel engines on board ships with main propulsion systems of up to 2200 KW as well as for generator sets for ship and industrial applications.

The TUFMON MIDI can have the high redundancy system by use of a serial connection between the CPU and a backup system. Both systems exchange n case of sensor failures the sensor's data is available in the other system. In such case, a sensor failure warning is initiated. If the safety system should fail completely during operation, the alarm system takes over the full function of the safety system to safe-guard the engine and complete propulsion system.

By an integrated serial connection, all engine data as well as status information can be delivered at anytime to external ship computer centre. A specially designed information display on top of the printed circuit board informs the user about all sensor status or system failures with optical/acoustical warning at the same time.
All necessary operational engine information such as: speed, pressure, temperature and status parameters can be easily programmed. The program is blocked against abuse by a code, and parameters can be inserted at standstill engine only. An overspeed test is available without running the engine to overspeed.
The "TUFMON MIDI" is type approved and fulfills all requirements for the CE-Mark also for yachts and speed boats according to the EC regulation.
