How are plasmids expressed?

This is the basic tool for protein production in biotechnology. It usually contains some regulatory sequences, such as enhancers and promoters, to improve the expression efficiency of genes carried on them. A good expression vector should be able to efficiently produce its encoded protein, which is generally achieved by transcribing a large number of stable messenger RNAs to translate them into target proteins. The production of the target protein can also be strictly regulated so that it can only be mass-produced when there are specific induction conditions.

Cloning vectors and expression vectors are two types of vectors, used in recombinant DNA technology to transfer foreign DNA chain segments into a target cell.
