There are two types of 3-pole overvoltage protection, available in cassettes, The cassettes are intended for terminal blocks type JA-1001E and should be installed on the subscriber side of the MDF. one cassette protect 10 pairs ( one terminal block )
Two Cassette overvoltage protection:
JA-1302E-1: A cassette equipped with 10 3-pole gas arresters, when the line voltage increases, the resistance in the overvoltage arrester drops to a very low level, connecting the voltage to earth, once the voltage has dropped to its normal level,the arrester will restore its high resistance, returning the line to operational status.
JA-1302E-2: A Cassette equipped with 10 3-pole gas arresters, including fail-safe devices, when the line voltage increases, the resistance in the overvoltage arrester drops to a very low level, connecting the voltage to earth, once the arrester has become activated and remains activated, the fail-safe device is activated and ensures that the line is short-circuited and protected. the protection must be changed to restore the line to operational status
